Trio Agogo's new release explores the rich and diverse landscape of Brazilian music.

"A Week of Colour" moves from the Samba and Choro music of Rio de Janeiro in the south, to the street and carnival music of Brazils north eastern regions, where the Forro, Baiao and Frevo rhythms rule.

For this recording, the core trio of Adam May, Al Kerr and Paul Carey swing through the different rhythms while a host of Melbourne's finest Brazilian music practitioners lend their voices to this celebration of music, colour and life.

The compositions and arrangements bounce From intimate guitar trio moments to full blown horn section dances and street romps, just some of the many colours that can be found in a week of Brazilian musical life.
